SALINE COUNTY | February 7, 2024
Weather permitting, Interstate 30 (I-30) westbound in Saline County will require a full overnight closure starting at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, February 8, through 5 a.m. Friday, February 9.
Crews will close I-30 westbound between Exit 116 in Benton and Exit 114 in Saline County to mill and repair the pavement.
I-30 westbound traffic will detour at Sevier Street (Exit 116), take the frontage road to Highway 229, and follow the highway back to the frontage road and I-30 westbound ramp at Highway 67/229 (Exit 114). At the frontage road intersection with Sevier/South streets, traffic will stay in the left lane to travel through a roundabout and continue westbound on the frontage road. See detour map NR 24-052-A for more information.
Traffic will be controlled with construction barricades, traffic barrels and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
