CRAIGHEAD COUNTY | March 13, 2024

A temporary closure is scheduled Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22 on County Road 901 (Kathleen Street) in Jonesboro as part of the continued work on the Jonesboro Eastern Bypass.

The work will be performed daily from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to install girders for the overpass. During these daytime working hours, traffic will detour using the following locations:

  • County Road 900 (Prospect Road)
  • County Road 905 (Rogers Chapel Road)

This closure will allow crews to continue building the new Kathleen Street railroad overpass as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Extension Project (Highway 18S), also known as the Jonesboro Eastern Bypass.

See the attached detour map for additional information.

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage.
