SALINE COUNTY | August 7, 2024
Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires two overnight ramp closures at the I-30 east/Highway 70 interchange (Exit 111) from 9 p.m. Thursday, August 8 to 5 a.m. Friday, August 9.
Weather permitting, crews will close the I-30 east off-ramp to Highway 70 and the Highway 70 on-ramp to I-30 east to shift traffic onto new pavement. See attached detour map NR 24-263-A for additional information.
- I-30 east to Highway 70 detour. Traffic will continue on I-30 east, take Exit 114, return to I-30 west using the underpass, and take Exit 111 to access Highway 70.
- Highway 70 to I-30 east detour. Traffic will take the on-ramp to I-30 west, take Exit 106, and return to I-30 east using the overpass.
Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
