Highway 8 Near Manning to Close for Pipe Culvert Replacement

DALLAS COUNTY | October 25, 2024

Highway 8 near Manning will close from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, October 28 to allow crews to replace a pipe culvert.

Weather permitting, Highway 8 will close between Highway 7 near Dalark and Highway 9 near Princeton. The pipe culvert replacement will take place on Highway 8 just east of County Road 209. Highway 8 will remain open to local traffic only on either side of the closure.

A detour will be signed using Highways 7, 128, and 9.

To navigate around the closure, traffic will take Highway 9 near Princeton south to Highway 128 near Holly Springs. Traffic will then take Highway 128 north to Highway 7 near Sparkman, and Highway 7 north to Highway 8 near Dalark.

Traffic will be controlled with the use of barrels, barricades and signage.
