The bridge over Little River on Highway 77 in Athelstan is scheduled for an around the clock closure starting 8 a.m. on Monday, March 10 until 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8 to allow crews to replace a bridge.

Weather permitting, Highway 77 will close approximately 2 miles north of Highway 140.

Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures. Motorists traveling on either side of the closure will need to identify their detour routes.

• Southbound on Highway 77 detour. Traffic will take Highway 158 east, then Highway 181 south, and head west on Highway 140.
  • Northbound on Highway 77 detour. Traffic will take Highway 140 east, then Highway 181 north, and head west on Highway 158.
