CRAIGHEAD COUNTY (11-18) – Construction work to improve Red Wolf Blvd.
(Highway 49) means there will be lane closures in Jonesboro, according to Arkansas
Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will alternatingly close a single lane on Red Wolf Blvd. between
the intersections of Interstate 555 and Highland Dr starting at 3:00 a.m. on Friday morning,
November 20, and continuing Monday-Saturday until the work is complete.
The asphalt
work is estimated to take three weeks.

This work is part of a project to resurface approximately one mile of Highway 49
(Job 101019) between Highway 18 and I-555, a $438,594.12 contract awarded to Atlas
Asphalt Inc. in May of 2020.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
