LONOKE COUNTY | June 20, 2023

Repairs to an I-40 overpass in Lonoke County will cause a temporary lane closure from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 21.

The eastbound outside lane of I-40 between mile markers 181 and 183 and the off-ramp to Exit 183 will be closed to traffic as crews repair the underside of the overpass near Carlisle.

Crews will be repairing spalling (flaking, cracking, or crumbling concrete) that is occurring on the underside of the overpass. Repairs will consist of applying a grout mixture to the affected areas. 

Traffic will be controlled with the use of barrels, message boards, and signage.

Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
