Temporary Closure Scheduled on Hill Street in Jacksonville

PULASKI COUNTY | September 22, 2023

Construction to widen Highway 67 to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville requires a temporary closure of Hill Street Monday, September 25 through Friday, September 29. This closure will allow construction crews to perform paving operations.  

Weather permitting, crews will close Hill Street at its connection with TP White Drive. Traffic wishing to access Hill Street will need to follow the signed detours. See attached detour map NR 23-328-A for additional information.

TP White Drive traffic

  • North on TP White Drive
  • South on N. Bailey Boulevard to Hill Street

N. James Street traffic

  • West on W. Martin Street
  • North on N. Bailey Blvd Boulevard to Hill Street

Traffic will be controlled with traffic drums and detour signs. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.  

This project (Job CA0604) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 2.5 miles of Highway 67 to six lanes, between Main Street (Exit 9) and Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11) in Jacksonville. The project also includes improvements at the James Street interchange (Exit 10A), the Gregory Street Interchange (Exit 10B), the Vandenberg Boulevard interchange (Exit 11), and conversion of the Frontage roads from two-way to one-way.
