PULASKI COUNTY (10-8) – Crews performing work along the Interstate 30 corridor in Little
Rock will require multiple ramp closures for westbound I-30, according to Arkansas
Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, westbound I-30 ramp closures will begin on Tuesday, October 13.

• Westbound I-30 off-ramp to 9th Street (Exit 140A) – Permanent closure
• beginning Tuesday, October 13. Traffic may use the 6th Street off-ramp (Exit 140B) or detour to the Main Street exit on I-630 to access downtown (Exit 1A). See attached map for detour route to I-630.
• 9th Street on-ramp to westbound I-30 – Long-term closure beginning. Wednesday, October 14 through mid-2021. See attached map for detour route.
• Westbound I-30 off-ramp to 6th Street (Exit 140B) – Intermittent overnight closures on Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15, between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Traffic will temporarily detour to the Main Street exit on I-630 to access downtown (Exit 1A). See attached map for detour route.

Traffic will be controlled by signage, construction barrels, and barriers. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. The 30 Crossing project (Job CA0602) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program that was approved by voters in 2012. It is being funded with the proceeds from the temporary ½-cent sales tax that is set to expire in 2023. The passage or failure of Issue 1 at the polls this November will have no impact on the 30 Crossing work that is beginning this fall, including the construction of a new Arkansas River bridge and improved access to both downtowns.
