SEBASTIAN COUNTY (4-25) – Bridge deck repairs on Interstate 540 over Free Ferry Road
require lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT)
officials.

Weather permitting, the contractor will close one lane in both the northbound and
southbound directions between Exit 6 and Exit 8 beginning Sunday, April 28 at 8:00 p.m.
The closures will allow crews to rehabilitate the bridge deck on the I-540 bridges over Free
Ferry Road. The lane closures will remain in place until completion, anticipated in late
May.

Traffic will be controlled with signage, concrete barrier wall, and traffic barrels. Drivers
should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
