I-30 Lane Closures Scheduled Overnight in Saline County for Pavement Operations

SALINE COUNTY | January 30, 2024

Weather permitting, Interstate 30 (I-30) westbound between Sevier Street in Benton and Highway 70 in Saline County will require alternating single-lane closures during overnight hours Wednesday Night, January 31 through Saturday morning, February 3.

Crews will reduce I-30 westbound to one open lane to perform pavement operations each night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. There may also be times of slow-roll operations.

During overnight hours Wednesday, January 31 and Thursday, February 1, the closures will require I-30 westbound traffic to detour at Exit 114 (Highway 67). Westbound traffic will use Exit 114 and take the frontage road west for 1 mile to the I-30 westbound on-ramp. To keep westbound interstate traffic flowing through the intersection with Highway 67/229, lanes below the I-30 bridge will be closed to traffic. See detour map NR 24-033-A for more information.

Depending on the desired travel direction on Highway 67/229, significant detours will be signed, directing traffic to use I-30 Exits 106 and 116.

  • Highway 229 southbound traffic to Highway 67 will follow the signed detour to I-30 westbound and Exit 106 (Old Military Road) to return to Highway 67.
  • Highway 67 northbound traffic to Highway 229 will take the signed detour to I-30 eastbound to Exit 116 (Sevier and South streets) and return to Highway 229.
  • North Frontage Road eastbound traffic from Hot Springs will detour onto Mountain View Road to Highway 229.

Traffic will be controlled with construction barricades, traffic barrels and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.

This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
