Nightly Closures on Highway 67/167 and Frontage Roads in Jacksonville

PULASKI COUNTY | May 1, 2023

Construction to widen Highway 67 to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville requires 10-minute full closures during nighttime hours on Highway 67/167 and its frontage roads.

Weather permitting, crews will temporarily stop traffic in all directions for up to 10 minutes on Highway 67/167, TP White Drive, and John Harden Drive. Traffic on the highway and frontage roads will be stopped between Main Street and James Street. These closures may occur between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., Monday, May 1 through Wednesday, May 3.

These temporary traffic stops will allow crews to drop an overhead utility line that crosses TP White Drive, John Harden Drive, and Highway 67/167. Traffic will be stopped in all directions with the help of the Arkansas Highway Police.

This project (Job CA0604) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 2.5 miles of Highway 67 to six lanes, between Main Street (Exit 9) and Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11) in Jacksonville. The project also includes improvements at the James Street interchange (Exit 10A), the Gregory Street Interchange (Exit 10B), the Vandenberg Boulevard interchange (Exit 11), and conversion of the Frontage roads from two-way to one-way. More information on this $145.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
