The mission of the Maintenance Division is to assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing highway system by providing leadership, expertise, and support. Maintenance functions are conducted by Central Office and District forces. Their efforts preserve the investment in Arkansas’ highways. Central Office forces are: Facilities Management; Traffic Services; Pavement, Asset, and Maintenance Management; Emergency Management, and ADA Compliance. District maintenance forces include area maintenance crews located in all 75 counties with responsibilities for general maintenance of highways and facilities.
