Highway 23 Arkansas River Bridge at Ozark Inspected and Found to be Ship-Shape

FRANKLIN COUNTY (7-6) – Citizens raised concerns about the condition of the State
Highway 23 Arkansas River Bridge at Ozark, according to Arkansas Department of
Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Bridge inspectors from the Department have investigated the structure and found that all
vertical members are plumb, deck joints are in proper alignment and there are no
indications of recent collision damage to the bridge. An engineer also compared photos
from past inspections and found that they look similar to some photos being circulated on
social media.

In summary, the bridge is in good shape and safe for travelers.
