LITTLE RIVER COUNTY (7-17) – Improvements to a section of State Highway 234 will
require a temporary closure to through traffic in Little River County, according to Arkansas
Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close State Highway 234 to through traffic on Thursday, July
19 at 9:00 a.m. between State Highway 41 and State Highway 108 so they can replace the
culverts at Hurricane Creek. This closure will remain in place until work is complete, which
is estimated to take 30 days.

Traffic will be controlled with signage and traffic barrels. Drivers should exercise caution
when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
