Safety Improvements to Interstate 30 Require Alternating Lane Closures

PULASKI & SALINE COUNTIES (11-30) – Improvements to Interstate 30 require mobile
alternating lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT)
officials.

Weather permitting, crews will perform mobile alternating lane closures Sunday,
December 2
on I-30 between Interstate 430 in Little Rock to U.S. Highway 70 in Benton from
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The closures will allow crews to place raised pavement markers,
improving nighttime visibility under wet-road conditions. As the mobile lane closures move
past entrance ramps, crews will briefly close the ramps for safety purposes.

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, flashing arrow panels, and signs. Drivers
should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
