PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (03-01) – Construction work to widen U.S. Highway 67
between Jacksonville and Cabot requires overnight lane closures in Pulaski and Lonoke
counties, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, the inside lanes of northbound and southbound U.S. Highway 67 will
periodically be closed during overnight hours within the construction zone between
Vandenberg Boulevard and State Highway 5. Drivers may expect various inside lane
closures, beginning Sunday night, March 3. Traffic will be controlled with construction
barrels and signage. Lanes may be closed during the following time periods:
- The inside lane of northbound U.S. Highway 67 will be closed from Coffelt Road to
State Highway 5. The closure will occur during overnight hours from Sunday, March
3 through Saturday, April 6 between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. the following day.
This will permit crews to work within the center median. - The inside lane of southbound U.S. Highway 67 will be closed from State Highway
to Vandenberg Boulevard. The closure will occur during overnight hours from
Thursday, March 7 through Saturday, March 9 between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
This will reduce southbound traffic to one open lane to allow removal of concrete
barriers in the median.
This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes
widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State
Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More
information on this $79.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
