PHILLIPS COUNTY (9-18) – Emergency bridge repairs on State Highway 85 require
highway closure between Lake View and Oneida, according to Arkansas Department of
Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Crews have closed State Highway 85 between Oneida and Lake View. Approximately 720
vehicles cross the bridge daily. Motorists traveling southbound will detour to State Highway
318 East and then to State Highway 44 South. Northbound traffic will travel State Highway
44 North to State Highway 318 West. The highway will remain closed until the repairs are
complete.

Traffic will be controlled by message boards, traffic barrels, and signage. Drivers should
exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
