Bridge Deck Rehabilitation Requires Daytime Bridge Closure

CRAWFORD COUNTY (11-1) – Rehabilitation of the bridge over Interstate 40 on Lost Beach
Crossing requires daytime bridge closure, according to Arkansas Department of
Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will be closing the Lost Beach Crossing overpass of Interstate 40
near Alma to rehabilitate the bridge deck. Traffic may detour using U.S. Highway 64, State
Highway 60, State Highway 282, and County Road 18 (Beach Cutoff, Beech Way, and Lost
Beach Road). The closure is expected to last from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
November 5.


Traffic will be controlled with signage, barricades, and traffic barrels. Drivers should
exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
