CRAIGHEAD COUNTY (7-16) – Construction work to improve Highway 63 will require lane
closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will begin pavement overlay work on Highway 63 Friday, July
17, between the city of Bono and the Lawrence County line near Sedgwick. The total length
of the project is 7 miles. This work will require daily lane closures which will occur weekdays
from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until the project is complete, which is estimated to be five weeks.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones, flaggers and signage. Drivers should exercise
caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
