PULASKI COUNTY (3-11) – Improvements to Interstate 430 require several northbound lane closures this weekend, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, beginning Friday night, March 12, the contractor will set up the following northbound lane closures on I-430 between Cantrell Road (Highway 10, Exit 9) and Maumelle Boulevard (Highway 100, Exit 12) to shift traffic into the next stage of configuration:
- Friday, March 12 – Monday, March 15 | Double lane closure | 8:00 p.m. to Noon the following day
- Sunday, March 14 – Monday, March 15 | Double lane closure | 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
- March 13 & March 14 | single lane closure | Noon – 8:00 p.m.
Traffic will be pushed to the inside lane at the beginning of the closure and then shifted to different lanes as work progresses.
These closures will allow the contractor to restripe the pavement and set barrier wall. This work is weather dependent because striping operations cannot occur if the pavement is wet.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
