FAULKNER COUNTY (4-2) – Improvements to Interstate 40 mean nightly eastbound lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, contractors will close an I-40 eastbound lane beginning Monday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m. between Menifee and Conway (Mile Markers 119 and 125). Depending on the progress of the work, a single outside or inside lane will be closed. The closures will occur nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to allow Rogers Group Inc. to resurface both the outside and inside lanes. This portion of the project is anticipated to take four weeks to complete.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
