SEBASTIAN COUNTY (7-23) – Resurfacing of Rogers Avenue (Highway 22) from Interstate 540 in Fort Smith to Highway 549 in Barling requires nightly lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will be milling and repaving all lanes of Rogers Avenue alternately starting at I-540 at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday night, July 25 and continuing east.  Lane closures will continue nightly for two weeks.  Once the operation reaches Massard Road, the nightly lane closures will begin at 7:00 p.m., nightly.  The closures between Massard Road and Highway 549 are expected to last three weeks.

Traffic cones and signage will control traffic. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
