SALINE COUNTY | February 23, 2024
Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires two ramp closures at the I-30 East/Highway 70 interchange (Exit 111) during overnight hours beginning Friday night, February 23 through Thursday morning, February 29.
Weather permitting, crews will close the I-30 East ramp to Highway 70 and the Highway 70 ramp to I-30 East during the following times:
- 11 p.m. Friday, February 23 through 6 a.m. Saturday, February 24
- 11 p.m. Saturday, February 24 through 9 a.m. Sunday, February 25
- Nightly 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday night, February 25 through Thursday morning,
February 29
These closures will allow crews to install steel girders for the new I-30 West bridge. Traffic will not be able to use the ramps during the closures and traffic will need to follow the signed detours. See attached detour map NR 24-064-A.
I-30 East to Highway 70 detour:
- Continue east on I-30 to Highway 67 South (Exit 114)
- Take underpass on Highway 67 to the frontage road and return to I-30 West
- West on I-30 to Highway 70 (Exit 111).
Highway 70 to I-30 East detour:
- Take ramp to I-30 West
- West on I-30 to Old Military Road (Exit 106)
- Take overpass toward Highway 67
- East on Highway 67 to return to I-30 East
In addition, Pawnee Drive below I-30 will be closed around the clock to through traffic from Friday night, February 23 through Thursday morning, February 29.
Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
