WASHINGTON COUNTY | September 11, 2024

Portions of Interstate 49 (I-49) will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sunday, September 15 through Friday, October 4.  This closure is located between Highway 412/W. Sunset Avenue (Exit 72) and Elm Springs Road (Exit 73) in Springdale.

Weather permitting, crews will close northbound and southbound lanes for 15-minute increments at various times between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.  These temporary traffic stops will allow crews to set steel girders for the new Har-Ber Avenue overpass bridge.

The work will be conducted overnight, Sunday through Friday, until this portion of the project is complete. See the attached map for additional information.

Traffic will be controlled using barrels, message boards, and signage.

Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
